Furniture can be moved while in the furniture menu. This is accessed by tapping on the small couch icon on the right side of your screen. When in this menu, tap the piece of furniture you want to move, and then drag it across the screen.
For smaller furniture pieces placed near the bottom of your sanctuary, you may need to close the furniture menu using the small arrow on the left side of the screen to select it.
