Sometimes we run special limited time events which you can participate in after reaching level 6 - these events give you the opportunity to collect an exclusive species and some other rewards! The Pond will let you know when an event is on and run you through an event tutorial so you know all the basics. A timer and event XP progress bar under the regular XP progress bar, will indicate your progression as well as how much longer the event runs for. If you tap on the event XP progress bar you can see the event rewards. You can also view the event set in your Aquapedia. It will be the first set displayed while the event runs but will be moved elsewhere when the event concludes.
How do they work?
During Limited Time Events you need to Discover, Establish and Thrive each new species as you unlock them. You will unlock the next species in the event set after you have released enough of the previous species! When an event concludes you will no longer be able to earn the rewards of the event set and only the species and items you earned/discovered will remain. Make sure to hang on to the feeding decorations so you can feed and release your new species, as once you discover a species it will be a part of your pond and you can continue making eggs to establish and thrive. If you miss out on any rewards during an event don’t worry as you will get the opportunity to earn these again in the future. During events you will earn special Event Supplies which are used to trade with willow for special event feeding decorations. These decor will generate event food for your event species. Event crafting items will convert to regular in-game crafting items when the event ends, but event supplies will not convert or carry over.
