Become an underwater photographer with the Splash-Cam! You can use the Splash-Cam to capture fish behaviours to unlock facts, or to document important moments in your Sanctuary. You can add stickers, borders and text to customise the image too.
If you have just started playing Splash this special feature will unlock half way through level 4.
When the Splash-Cam is introduced to you a tutorial will begin with a step by step guide of how to use this feature. If you miss this tutorial, everything you need to know will be in this FAQ!
Tap the camera icon in the bottom right hand corner and the Splash-Cam will appear.
Now you’re ready to capture some memories.Tap the circle icon on the right hand side of the screen. The screen will flash and you will be asked if you want to you want to keep or discard the image.
Use your fingers to zoom in and out on the screen. You can decide if you want to take close ups or wider shots of your reef and anywhere in between!
Customising your images is one of the coolest parts of the Splash-Cam feature. When you tap the gallery, and then tap on an image you will see three buttons at the bottom of the image. Delete, Customize and Share.
The Delete button removes your image from the gallery permanently. Once you delete a snap, you cannot recover it, so only delete these images if you really don’t want to see them again!
The Customize button is one of the most fun parts of the Splash-Cam feature! Here you can see all of the different options and ways of making your image unique.
The three ribbons at the top of the right hand side show the different options for customisation.
For a start, tap the Blue ribbon. The Blue ribbon shows all of the different speech bubbles that you can use and add text to. Tap and drag the one you want to use with your finger and place it inside the frame.
Then, to add text, tap the bubble and the keyboard will appear.
Once you have typed your message tap the blue check icon and the message will appear.
Tap the orange ribbon with the heart to open up the customisation menu. Here you can see all kinds of different stickers to place on your image.
If you change your mind about anything you have put in your image don’t worry! You can simply tap any stickers or caption bubbles and then drag them to the right hand side of the screen to get rid of them.
Lastly there are frames that you can use as borders for your image. Just tap on each different type to see which one you like the best. You can unlock new frames by releasing species.
Once your image is all done it will appear in your gallery with all of your other images so you can look at it as much as you want!
